The Lake Forest College men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished out their shortened season against Ripon on Saturday. There were no team scores.
The Foresters bid farewell to three seniors during the meet: Fallon Longfield, Thomas Anderson, and Evan Weller. While they were not the only seniors on the roster this season, they were the only three to return to campus and compete for the Foresters.
Longfield finished second in the 100 Backstroke, third in the 100 Freestyle (with a lifetime best time), and fourth in the 50 Freestyle. She also anchored the second-place 200 Freestyle relay; she teamed up with sophomore Violet Anderson, junior Kylie Morgan, and sophomore Ashlyn Pope for that event.
Anderson won the 100 Butterfly event for the men. He also competed in the 50 Freestyle in which he finished eighth, and he placed seventh in the 100 Freestyle.
Weller swam the 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, and 200 Backstroke. He placed first in the 200 Backstroke, was second in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly.
Both Anderson and Weller anchored their respective relays. Anderson's relay came in first; he was joined by junior Graeme Witte and freshmen Riley Komp and Brennan Dompe. Weller's relay place third overall; his teammates in the event were freshmen Ollie Land and Luke Bedalov and sophomore Justin Fugiel.
Overall, the finished the season well with most team members improving their times from their meet against Lawrence University on February 20 and some achieved lifetime bests in select events.
