Six Foresters Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

Six Foresters Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) recently announced the members of the 2023 NFF Hampshire Honor Society and six Lake Forest College players were included on the list.

The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA, and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers. An elite group of 1,734 players from 328 schools qualified for membership in the Society's 17th year. Nominated by their respective schools, members of the NFF Hampshire Honor Society must have:

  • Completed their final year of playing in Fall 2022;
  • Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2 (4.0 scale);
  • Met all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements; and
  • Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2022 season.

Lake Forest seniors Henry Bechok (business), Dante Esposito (business: marketing concentration), Alan Hanson (chemistry), Jake Reid (data science: computer science), Angel Sotelo (computer science), and Vincent Wallace (data science: finance and economics) raise Lake Forest's number of honorees since 2012 to 41.

The Foresters went 9-2 overall and claimed their second straight Midwest Conference title with an 8-1 record in league play in 2022.
