The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2015 Division III All-Region Teams and Lake Forest College's Jessi Werner, Sally Snarski, Kaleigh Ambrose, and Alex Hemmer made the lists. It was the first time the Foresters had as many as four all-region honorees since 2006.
Werner, a junior pitcher, was an at-large selection to the First Team. The 2015 Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year set single-season team records with 192 strikeouts, 167.2 innings pitched, and four saves. Her 19 victories (against just four losses) also tied the school record and she posted an earned run average of 2.09. Werner pitched 18 complete games and opponents batted just .218 against her on the year.
Snarski, a junior first baseman, was one of two Foresters named to the Second Team and was also an at-large selection. She set a program record with 34 walks on the year, 13 more than the previous mark. Snarski batted a team-best .400 and also led the squad with a .528 on-base percentage and .664 slugging percentage. In addition, she was second on the team with eight home runs and 37 runs batted in and tied-for-third with eight doubles.
Ambrose, a junior third baseman, joined Snarski on the Second Team. She led the 2015 Foresters with nine home runs and finished with a .304 batting average. Ambrose also ranked third among the team's regulars with a .558 slugging percentage and 35 runs batted in. The starting third baseman in all but three games, she posted a .953 fielding percentage and finished second on the squad with 67 assists.
Hemmer, a junior catcher and designated player, was named to the Third Team, which included only at-large selections. She batted .363 and finished the season with a team-high 53 base hits, 11 doubles, 37 runs scored, and 38 runs batted in. Hemmer was also second among the Forester regulars with a .562 slugging percentage and third with a .436 on-base percentage and six stolen bases.
Aurora University led the Great Lakes Region with six selections, including five on the Second Team. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Illinois Wesleyan University each had five players honored and Lake Forest joined North Central College and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with four apiece.
The Foresters finished the 2015 regular season with 13-2 record in Midwest Conference Player and shut out each of their three opponents in the MWC Championship Tournament to claim their second straight league title. Lake Forest hosted and won an NCAA Division III Regional Tournament and completed the year with an overall record of 35-11, the best mark in team history.
