Lake Forest College men's golfer was named St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Foresters to a first-place finish at the Fighting Scot Spring Invite over the weekend.
Dwyer had six birdies and posted a 2-over 73 in Saturday's opening round at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth, Illinois. He was under par twice during Sunday's 74 and finished the event tied-for-third in the 70-player field. The senior's final score of 147 matched the eighth-best 36-hole total in program history.
The Foresters posted back-to-back rounds of 300 on the weekend and their 600 for the weekend is the best two-day score in team annals.
SLIAC Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Dwyer also earned the award once during his freshman season and once last spring.
