The 2009 All-Midwest Conference volleyball teams were announced
Tuesday (November 10) and Lake Forest College's Mandi
Mulliner (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and Cori Cooper
(Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) were Second Team All-MWC
selections.
Mulliner, a junior middle blocker, finished the season with a .257
hitting percentage, the sixth-highest mark in the league. She led
the Foresters with 73 blocks and ranked second on the squad with
252 kills.
Cooper, a freshman, led the team with 301 kills and 44 aces on the
season. She ranked sixth in the conference in kills per set and
second in the league in aces per set. Cooper also finished second
on the team in digs with 314.
Lake Forest has now had two or more all-conference selections 15
years in a row.
The Foresters finished the season with an overall record of 9-18
and a conference mark of 5-4. The team tied for third place in the
league standings.
