The Lake Forest College women's soccer team posted its fourth consecutive shutout but still had to settle for a tie with visiting Beloit College on Tuesday.
The Foresters accounted for four of the five shots on goal in the contest and 57 percent of the playing time was spent on the home team's offensive side of the field. Beloit, however, had 51 percent of the time of possession and created six corner kick opportunities to Lake Forest's five.
The shutout was the ninth in the career of Forester senior goalkeeper Maggie Kersting and she extended her current scoreless streak to 375 minutes. She improved her goals against average on th season to 0.96 and save percentage to .836.
Lake Forest is now 6-4-1 overall and 3-0-1 in Midwest Conference play this year. Beloit is 4-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the league.
The Foresters will continue conference play against Illinois College Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
