Posted: Apr 08, 2021
Women's soccer player Raven Dziedzinski was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after becoming the first player in program history with five assists in a game the day before.
Lake Forest hosted and defeated Illinois College 8-0 on Wednesday in the team's first game on the newly-renovated Mohr Field. Dziedzinski helped set up the first goal of the contest, scored the second, and assisted on each of the final four tallies. All eight of the team's goals were scored during the sophomore forward's 39 minutes on the field.
Dziedzinski now has 24 career points on eight goals and eight assists in 21 appearances.
The previous school record of four assists in a game was set by Sarah Bartz in 1997 and matched by Sam Hillis in 2014.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
