Lake Forest College women's soccer player Michelle Greeneway was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday for her performance in three victories in the previous seven days.
Greeneway, a junior forward, started the week by scoring the first two goals of the team's 4-1 triumph over visiting Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday. Her first score of the game was also the 55th of her career, making her the Foresters' career leader in that category in just her third season on the team.
Lake Forest hosted and defeated Grinnell College 2-1 on Saturday and Cornell College 6-2 on Sunday. Greeneway netted a pair of goals and added two assists against Cornell, raising her season totals to 40 points on 17 goals and six assists. She was already the only player in program history with two seasons of at least 16 goals and 40 points and has now accomplished the feat a third time.
Greeneway's seven game-winning goals this season lead the nation and she is tied for fifth in the country in points and sixth in goals.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information.
