Lake Forest Closes Out 2021-22 at UW-Whitewater Spring Invite

The Forester women's golf team finished 13th at Saturday's UW-Whitewater Spring Invite, the final tournament on the squad's 2021-22 schedule.

Lake Forest was led by freshman Emily Tao, who tied for 36th in the 88-player field with a 15-over 87. She posted a team-best scoring average of 85.00 in five rounds this spring.

Next on the team was sophomore Christina Hartley, who matched her best round as a Forester with a 95.

Freshman Emma Ackland acounted for Lake Forest's only birdie of the day, needing just three shots to complete the par-4 17th hole. She finished with a 98 and classmate Lucy Rayburn had a 105 on the 5,843-yard par-72 course at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.

The Foresters' 385 was good for 13th place in the 16-team field. Washington University in St. Louis won the event with a score of 304, which was 18 shots better than runner-up Whitewater.
