The Lake Forest College women's golf team placed fifth but had the individual champion in freshman Emily Tao at Tuesday's Judson Invite.
Tao birdied the par-3 13th hole and carded nine pars on the 5,805-yard, par-71 course at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois. Her 80 was two stroke better than the runners-up.
Sophomore Makayla Sanchez was next on the team and tied-for-20th out of 52 players overall with a 94. Freshmen Emma Ackland and Lucy Rayburn also scored for the Foresters with rounds of 99 and 107, respectively.
Elmhurst University finished first in the team standings with a score of 333 and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was second at 344. Lake Forest was fifth with a round of 380.
The Foresters' final tournament of the season will be the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite April 22-23.
