The Lake Forest College men's soccer team was defeated 2-1 in overtime at Grinnell College on Saturday. Senior Nelson Dorvlo scored the visitors' only goal of the contest.
Dorvlo's third goal of the season was assisted by sophomore Steven Johnson in the contest's 22nd minute.
Grinnell tied the game less than five minutes later and the score remained 1-1 until the home team netted the winner with just two seconds remaining in the second 10-minute overtime period.
After both teams attempted four shots in the first half, the Pioneers had a 4-1 edge in shots in the second period and a 10-6 advantage for the game.
Forester junior goalkeeper Giancarlo Colasanti made four saves in the contest.
Lake Forest fell to 9-2-2 overall and 1-2-1 in Midwest Conference play. Grinnell raised its overall record to 3-7-1 and league mark to 1-2-0.
