Sam Schuring Earns First Team All-Midwest Conference Honors

The Midwest Conference released the 2010-11 All-MWC Women's Basketball teams on Thursday and Lake Forest College's Sam Schuring was named to the First Team.
Schuring, a sophomore point guard, was the Foresters' leading scorer at 13.4 points per contest. She also recorded a team-high 109 assists and 41 steals on the season while playing more than 33 minutes per game.
Among conference players Schuring ranked fifth in scoring, second in assists, and 10th in steals. She had the highest assist-to-turnover ratio in the league and her .433 field goal percentage ranked 12th overall and third among guards.
Scuring led the Foresters in points 10 times and in assists in 21 of their 23 contests.
Lake Forest finished the 2010-11 season with an overall record of 13-10 and a conference mark of 11-7, which was tied for third in the MWC standings.
