The Forester men's and women's swimming and diving teams were defeated by Truman State University and host Lewis University on Saturday. Both opponents are NCAA Division II members.
Junior Orion Huey turned in the Foresters' best finish in terms of placing by finishing third in both backstroke events. His time in the 100-backstroke was 56.28 seconds and he completed the 200-backstroke in 2:01.20. Senior Kristofer Korth also had a third-place finish in the 200-breaststroke, posting a time of 2:13.66.
Korth was also fourth in the 100-breaststroke in 1:01.76. Other fourth-place finishes were posted by junior James Haney in the 200-butterfly (2:04.89), junior Sam Freedberg in the 100-freestyle (50.30), and Jessica Cline in the 200-breaststroke (2:49.28).
Both Lake Forest teams are now 0-3 on the young season. They will compete in another double dual next Saturday at Illinois Institute of Technology. The third team in the meet is Loras College.
