Three-Win Day Sends Foresters Back to NCAA Tournament
May 07, 2016The Lake Forest College softball team defeated Carroll University 13-4 in six innings before knocking off Monmouth College 5-0 and 6-2 to win the Midwest Conference Tournament on Saturday. The Foresters hosted the two-day, double-elimination tournament after claiming the league's regular season title with an 18-2 conference record.

May 06, 2016Senior Jessi Werner tossed a one-hit shutout in the Lake Forest College softball team's 1-0 victory over Illinois College in the first round of the Midwest Conference Tournament. The Foresters, who are hosting the double-elimination event after claiming the league championship, then fell 8-0 in five innings to Monmouth College.

The Foresters took the opener 11-3 in six innings and game two 9-1 in five.

April 12, 2016Senior Jessi Werner and junior Jenny McTague combined to strike out 17 batters while allowing just two base hits apiece as the Lake Forest College softball team defeated visiting Beloit College 9-0 and 13-1 on Tuesday. Both games were called after five innings.
