The Lake Forest College men's tennis team started its Spring Break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina, with a 9-0 victory over Nazareth College on Monday. Senior Anthony Warren was victorious at the top of the Foresters' singles and doubles lineups.
Warren and freshman Ellis Lora-Arceo posted an 8-5 win at #1 doubles while sophomore John Snider and freshman Dragan were prevailing 8-3 at #2 and the Foresters' #3 team of senior Anthony Mykhaylovskyy and junior Derek Schaltz were on their way to an 8-6 triumph.
Snider was the first to finish in singles, taking his match at #4 without losing a game. Trivanovic then finished off a 6-2, 6-2 win at #3 to secure the team's win. Lora-Arceo prevailed 6-1 in both sets at #2 and Warren came out on top of a 6-3, 6-4 decision at #1. Senior Jerry Wang prevailed 6-0, 6-4 at #6 and Mykhaylovskyy matched Trivanovic's 6-2, 6-2 result at #5 to close out the match.
Lake Forest is now 4-5 on the season while Nazareth fell to 0-3.
The Foresters will take on Gettysburg College Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. (ET).
