The Forester men's tennis team had a tough time in its first dual matches of the season on Saturday, falling 9-0 to Oberlin College and host Wabash College. The team will play its home opener next Saturday.
The closest of the three doubles matches against Oberlin was at #1, where junior Anthony Warren and freshman Ellis Lora-Arceo were edged out 8-5.
Lora-Arceo also played the most competitive singles match in the contest, falling 6-4 in both sets at #2.
Forester freshman Dragan Trivanovic and senior Jerry Wang battled but fell 8-6 at #3 doubles against Wabash.
The closest singles match in Lake Forest's second contest of the day was at #3, where junior Anthony Mykhaylovskyy was edged out 7-4 in a first set tiebreak before dropping the second set 6-3.
Lake Forest will host Concordia University Wisconsin next Saturday morning at 8:30 and Albion College at 4:30 in the afternoon. The Foresters' opponents will face each other at 12:30 and all three matches will be played at the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff.
