The Midwest Conference announced its Academic All-MWC honorees for 2011-12 on Wednesday. Lake Forest College had 68 student-athletes in 13 sports listed.

Lake Forest College senior wide receiver Kevin Davis has been selected to participate in the Beyond Sports College Network Collegiate Showcase at Akron University this weekend. The three-day event concludes with a pair of all-star games on Sunday.
The Beyond Sports College Network released its All-American teams on Thursday and Lake Forest College senior wide receiver Kevin Davis earned First Team accolades. Forester junior quarterback Pete Scaffidi was an Honorable Mention selection.
Forester seniors Luke Butts, Kevin Davis, and Kenneth Clady Mason played in the game while head coach Jim Catanzaro served as the coach for the College Stripes Team.
Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats announced Tuesday that Jim Catanzaro has officially been named the Foresters' head football coach. Catanzaro had been the program's interim head coach since April of 2009.
The 2011 Metrodome All-American Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 17, at Mall of America Field at HHH Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Three Foresters will be playing in the game and Lake Forest College Head Coach Jim Catanzaro will direct one of the all-star game's two teams.
