The schedule for the first season of Lake Forest College women's lacrosse was released on Friday.
The Foresters' first game will be played at Aurora University on Saturday, February 26, and the home opener will be on Wednesday, March 2, against Elmhurst University.
North Carolina will be Lake Forest's destination for spring break and the Foresters will take on Brevard College and Warren-Wilson College on the trip.
A home game against Benedictine University and visits to Concordia University Chicago and Carthage College complete the team's non-conference slate.
The Foresters are one of nine members of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference and will take on the other eight in league play. Beloit College will travel to Lake Forest for the conference opener on Wednesday, March 30, and home games against Monmouth College, Loras College, and Augsburg College are also included on the schedule. Road games will be played at Wartburg College, Hamline University, Cornell College, and the University of Northwestern.
The top four teams in the standings qualify for the MWLC Tournament with first and second place hosting semifinal games on Wednesday, May 4. The top remaining seed will host the final three days later and the winner of that contest will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The 2022 Foresters will be led by head coach Maggie Zentgraf.
