For her performance in the Midwest Conference Championship Series, senior Hannah Kalnicky was named Forester Athlete of the Week.
Kalnicky started all three games in the series at shortstop. She was three-for-eight in the batter's box, hitting once in each game, including a double in the final game. Her batting average of .375 over the series was the highest of the team, and she carried a .500 slugging average. She was also a vital player in the field.
The Foresters won the first game in the series and dropped the next two, ending their season at the Midwest Conference Championship.
Forester Athlete of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
