Lake Forest College men's soccer player John Cappuccitti was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday for the second time this season.
Cappuccitti, a junior midfielder, contributed to each of the Foresters' goals in a 3-0 victory over visiting Illinois College on Sunday. He sent a well-placed cross to freshman Lucas Geib, who slid in front of the goalie to score the first goal of the contest. Cappuccitti then headed in the second score from close range before blasting one into the top of the goal from 30 yards out to close out the scoring.
The Foresters' leader with 23 points this season on eight goals and seven assists, Cappuccitti also leads the league with 1.64 points per contest.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Cappuccitti also earned the award on October 3.
