Lake Forest College men's soccer player Mahir Mameledzija was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after scoring twice in a pair of Forester victories in the previous seven days.
Mameledzija, a junior forward, netted the team's third and fifth goals in a 6-1 victory over visiting Benedictine University on Wednesday.
The Foresters prevailed 3-2 at Milwaukee School of Engineering, the sixth-ranked team in the Central Region, on Saturday. Mameledzija gave the visitors a 1-0 lead less than eight minutes into the contest and then tied the score at two in the 61st minute.
Mameledzija now has three consecutive two-goal games and seven scores in just four contests this season. He has moved into fourth place in program history with 33 career goals and sixth with 79 points.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director. Mameledzija also earned the award once during each of his first two seasons.
