Lake Forest College's Brendan Herbert was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after racking up eight points in Saturday's 19-2 victory over Carroll University.
Herbert netted his first career goal less than five minutes into the contest and set up three more scores in the first period. THe freshman attacker added a pair of assists in the second quarter, scored in a man-up situation in the third, and completed the hat trick early in the fourth. Herbert also picked up three ground balls in the contest.
No Forester had more than three assists in a game in 2022, the program's first season as a varsity sport since 1994.
