The 2010 All-Midwest Conference football teams were released Wednesday. Junior defensive lineman Kenneth Clady Mason and senior kicker Tim Gruzwalski earned Second Team honors and four other Foresters were Honorable Mention status.
Clasy Mason led Lake Forest with 3.5 sacks and 9.0 tackles for loss. He was also fifth on the team and first among its defensive linemen with 47 tackles. He also forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and blocked a kick.
Gruzwalski made six of seven field goals on the season and 18 extra points. His 36 points ranked second on the team and he finished his career with 103 points, the third-highest total by a Forester kicker.
Lake Forest's Honorable Mention All-MWC selections were senior tailback Brock Stenberg, senior linebacker Anthony Garetto, senior tight end Steven Yena, and junior wideout/special teams player Kevin Davis.
Stenberg ran for 738 yards on the season and finished his career ranked third in team history with 2,294 rushing yards. It was his second career all-conference award.
Garetto finished second on the team with 85 tackles, including 51 solos. He amassed 234 tackles in his career.
Yena caught seven passes for 64 yards and scored his second career touchdown. It was the third time in his career that he was listed on the all-conference teams.
Davis earned the award for his special teams play, which included 10 tackles.
Lake Forest was 2-8 overall with both victories coming during the team's nine-game league schedule.
