Sangjun Hornewer Named Forester Athlete of the Week

Lake Forest College soccer player Sangjun Hornewer was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead her team to three victories in the previous seven days.
Hornewer contributed to five of the Foresters' six goals on teh week. After assisting on the only score in a 1-0 triumph over visiting Carroll University on Saturday, the senior midfielder netted two tallies of her own in a 2-1 victory at Concordia University Chicago on Monday. The Foresters defeated Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-1 on Wednesday with Hornewer netting the game's first goal and setting up the second.
Monday's two-goal performance was the first of her career. Her eight points so far this season already match her career-high.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
