The Lake Forest College track team traveled to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside for the Lake Michigan Open on Saturday.
Freshman AJ Jones set a pair of school records at the meet, completing the 55m in 7.92 seconds and the 200m in 28.17. She placed third out of a dozen competitors in the 200.
The Forester women also earned points in the 55m hurdles, where freshman Jacquelyn Han was fifth in 10.30 seconds.
Freshman Trentyn Tyson and sophomore Matthew Lungu turned in fourth-place finishes for the Lake Forest men. Tyson's came in the 400m, which he completed in 59.41 seconds, and Lungu's in the 55m. Lungu ran a 6.71 in the prelims and 6.74 in the final.
Sophomore Jake Sharifi was fifth in the 800m (2:19.49), as was Owen Bodine in the long jump (18'9.25") and senior Jake Reid in the shot put (34'5").
Bodine was sixth in the shot put (32'6/25) and senior Lionel Whitehead seventh in the 800m (2:26.51).
Lake Forest will continue the indoor season at the Aurora Grand Prix next weekend with the men competing on Friday and the women on Saturday.
