The Lake Forest College track team began 2022 at Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday as one of 10 schools competing in the ONU Invite.
Highlighting the Foresters' performance at the meet was a first place finish by graduate student Audrey Paglia in the 800m. Her time of 2:30.32 was nearly two seconds faster than the runner-up in the 10-runner event.
Lake Forest freshman Delfina Jorgensen finished in the top half of the field in the mile, where her clocking of 6:04.41 was good for second place in her heat and ninth out of 25 competitors overall.
Freshman Bart Brophy turned in the top placing for the Forester men. He finished 16th in the 800m in 2:10.11.
The Foresters will be back in action next Friday at Carthage College's Tadd Metzger Invitational. The meet will begin at 3:30 p.m.
