The Lake Forest College men's tennis team won 8-1 at Lawrence University Saturday afternoon to even its record on the young season at 1-1. Sophomore Kevin Lasky was one of five Foresters to post victories in both singles and doubles play.
Lasky and senior Chris Paterakos prevailed 8-2 at #3 doubles while sophomore John Adams teamed with junior Elliot Muth for an 8-5 triumph at #1 and freshman Ryan Kreis and senior Jon Flaksman edged out their opponents 9-7 at #2.
In singles play Lasky won 6-1, 6-2 at #6 and Paterakos blanked the Vikings' #5 player 6-0, 6-0. Flaksman posted a 6-1, 7-5 victory at #4 and Adams won 6-3, 6-2 at #3. Kreis earned his first collegiate singles victory, a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at the top spot in the lineup.
It was the first match of the season for Lawrence.
The Foresters will be in action again next Saturday at St. Norbert College where they will take on Elmhurst College at 1:30 p.m. and the hosts at 4:30.
