The Lake Forest College men's soccer team was defeated 4-0 by the University of St. Thomas, the sixth-ranked team in the nation, at home Saturday morning.
The Foresters held the Tommies without a shot for the game's first 28 minutes but had just one of their own during that span. The visitors' first attempt was successful at 28:16 and they fired off nine more shots in final 10 minutes of the half.
St. Thomas doubled its lead at the 58:41 mark and added another score just 48 seconds later. The final goal of the contest was scored in the 63rd minute.
Lake Forest was out-shot 8-3 in the final 45 minutes.
The Foresters are now 3-1-0 this season while St. Thomas improved to 3-0-0.
Lake Forest will be back in action against visiting Benedictine University Sunday afternoon at 1:00.
