Lake Forest College men's soccer player Lucas Geib was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance in victories on Saturday and on Tuesday.
Geib, a junior forward, scored two goals and had an assist on Saturday, with the Foresters prevailing 5-1 at Illinois College. Both of his tallies came in the first period and Lake Forest led 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. He also assisted senior Sal Gloria's goal, which made the score 5-0 in the 53rd minute.
On Tuesday the Foresters clinched their ninth win of the season, prevailing 3-1 over Beloit College at home. They once again led 2-0 at halftime with Geib earning an assist on both scores.
Geib now has 58 career points on 24 goals and 10 assists in 51 games.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Geib also earned the award on September 6.
