The Lake Forest College handball team traveled the West Allis, Wisconsin, for the Milwaukee Classic over the weekend. Forester senior Dan Sterrett claimed the title in the A Division.
Sterrett rattled off three straight victories to capture the divisional crown, including a win over Rob Paladino in the final.
Other Forester championships were claimed by juniors Derrick Contreras in the A Consolation bracket, Justin Novak in the C Division, and Pete Jansen in the D Division.
Clark Creasey, another junior, reached the final in the B Division before falling to Eric Matiasek.
Sophomore Sandy Ng reached the B Singles semifinals and junior Geoff Douglas advanced to the bracket's round of 32.
In the C Division, junior Amalia DeSardi and senior Anne Szutenbach posted victories in the round of 16 before falling in the quarterfinals.
The next event on Lake Forest's schedule is the Illinois Handball Singles Championships January 12-15.
