Lake Forest College football player Anthony
Garetto (Orland Park, Ill./Marist) was named Midwest Conference
Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday (November 9) for his
performance at Carroll University the previous Saturday (November
7).
Garetto, a junior linebacker and punter, averaged 39.0 yards on 10
punts in the contest. Five of punts exceeded 40 yards and six were
unable to be returned. Two were downed or went out of bounds inside
Pioneers' 20-yardline.
In addition to his punting exploits, Garetto also made five tackles
and recovered a fumble from his linebacker position.
Garetto averaged 35.3 yards per punt on the season.
