Lake Forest College women's basketball player Katie Neher was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after scoring a total of 53 points as the Foresters split a pair of games.
Neher led all players in the game with 19 points and added seven rebounds in Tuesday's 70-60 triumph over Milwaukee School of Engineering. She shot 9-for-17 from the field and helped her team outscore the Raiders 29-13 in the fourth quarter.
Lake Forest was defeated 67-63 by Grinnell College on Saturday. Neher was the game's leading scorer once again, pouring in a career-high 33 points to match the ninth-highest single-game total in program history. She shot 13-for-24 from the floor and connected on six three-pointers in a dozen attempts from beyond the arc.
Neher leads the Foresters with 26.0 points per game and is shooting 51.7 percent from the field so far this season.
