Sophomore Joe Bove was one of three Foresters to go 4-0 on the day as the Lake Forest College men's tennis team defeated Principia College 8-1 and blanked host Concordia University Chicago 9-0 on Saturday.

Bove and freshman Nick Zazove started their day with an 8-3 victory over the #3 doubles team from Principia College. Junior Dan Pivonka and senior Ellis Lora-Arceo had already prevailed 8-1 at #1 and the Panthers earned the point at #3, making the score 2-1 after doubles play.

Due to court availablility, Lake Forest, Principia, and Concordia Chicago played all of the day's doubles matches first before moving on to singles. The Foresters began their contest against Concordia Chicago by sweeping the doubles competition. Pivonka and Lora-Arceo blanked their counterparts at the top of the lineup 8-0 while Bove and Zazove won by the same score at #3. Lake Forest senior Dragan Trivanovic and junior Nick Rehm defeated the Cougars' #2 tandem 8-1.

The singles matches against Principia was next for the Foresters with Bove taking both sets 6-1 at #6 to start things off. Rehm won 6-1, 6-4 at #5 while Trivanovic and Zazvoe posted 6-3, 6-3 victories at #4 and #2, respectively. Pivonka came out on top of a 6-4, 6-2 decision at #1 and Lora-Arceo closed out the match by edging out his opponent 5-7, 7-5, (10-6) at #3.

Concordia Wisconsin had just five players available for the singles portion of the match, during which the Foresters did not drop a game. Bove was the first to finish once again, recording the first of the five 6-0, 6-0 victories at #5. Freshman Charles Kleinman was next to finish at #5, followed by Lora-Arceo at #2, Trivanovic at #3, and Zazove at #1.

Lake Forest improved to 6-3 on the season while Principia fell to 3-3 and Concordia Wisconsin to 0-3.

The Foresters' next five matches will be played during the team's Spring break trip to Orlando, Florida. Berry College will be Lake Forest's first opponent on Sunday, March 12, and the Foresters will also take on the College of St. Scholastica later that day. A Monday match against Bethel University and Wednesday contests with the Univeversity of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Amherst College are also on the schedule.
