Senior Ellis Lora-Arceo won 20 of 21 games in singles and doubles combined as the Forester men's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Sunday.
Lora-Arceo and junior Dan Pivonka were the first to finish in doubles after they defeated the Warriors' top tandem 8-1. Sophomore Joe Bove and freshman Charles Kleinman added an 8-2 triumph at #2.
Wisconsin Lutheran had just five players at the match and forfeited points at #3 doubles and #6 singles.
Rehm and Lora-Arceo did not lose a game at #5 and #3 singles, respectively, with Rehm's triumph clinching the contest for the Foresters. Senior Dragan Trivanovic posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #5 and freshman Nick Zazove prevailed 6-2, 6-0 at #2. Pivonka closed out the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-3 win at #1.
Lake Forest climbed back above the .500 mark at 4-3 this season while Wisconsin Lutheran remained winless in eight matches.
The Foresters will play a pair of matches at the Tennis and Fitness Centre in Oak Park, Illinois, next Saturday. Lake Forest will take on host Concordia University Chicago at 10:00 a.m. and Principia College at 3:00 p.m.
