The Forester men's tennis team fell 7-2 at Cornell College in non-conference play on Sunday. Senior John Adams helped account for both of Lake Forest's points with victories at the top spot in the doubles and singles lineups.
Adams and freshman Mike Riley prevailed 8-5 at #1 singles but the Foresters trailed 2-1 at the beginning of singles play.
The visitors fell behind 5-1 before Adams completed a grueling 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (12-10) triumph at #1 singles.
Adams evened his singles record on the season at 3-3.
Lake Forest fell to 1-5 overall while the Rams remailed undefeated in five 2013 contests.
The Foresters' next match will be Friday night against visiting Milwaukee School of Engineering at The Racquet Clu of Lake Bluff. The contest will begin at 8:00 p.m.
