Foresters Finish Off 2014-15 with Record Number of Academic All-Conference Honorees

Foresters' 2015 Schedule Released
March 30, 2015The Lake Forest College Athletic Department released the Foresters' 2015 football schedule on Monday. The team will open the season against visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday, September 5.

Video Webcast Available for Tazon de Estrellas on December 20
December 16, 2014The sixth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars), which includes Forester seniors John Preston, Ramel Samuel, Joey Kropp, and Bryan Feltman and coach Jim Catanzaro, will be played on December 20 in Puebla, Mexico. A webcast of the game will be available at www.tvudlap.mx/.

December 08, 2014D3football.com released its 2014 All-North Region teams on Monday and Lake Forest College's Pat Clark was a Second Team selection.

Preston, Samuel, Kropp, and Feltman Named to Team Stars and Stripes
December 04, 2014Lake Forest College senior football players John Preston, Ramel Samuel, Joey Kropp, and Bryan Feltman were recently selected to participate in the sixth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) on December 20 in Puebla, Mexico. Forester Head Coach Jim Catanzaro will also be making the trip as a coach for Team Stars and Stripes.

Four Foresters Named First Team All-MWC South, Two Second Team
November 18, 2014The 2014 All-Midwest Conference football teams were announced on Tuesday and six Lake Forest College players made the list, including First Team selections John Preston, Ramel Samuel, Pat Clark, and Joey Kropp.

Foresters Hold Off Ripon, Close Out 2014 with a Win
November 15, 2014The Lake Forest College football team led 20-3 at halftime and held on for a 26-23 victory over visiting Ripon College in the season finale for both teams. Forester sophomore tailback Charlie Quinn rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on the day.

November 10, 2014Lake Forest College football player Anthoney Prestly was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday for his performance in the team's 28-14 victory over visiting Grinnell College on Saturday.

Foresters Pull Away from Grinnell in Second Half
November 08, 2014The Lake Forest College football team hosted and defeated Grinnell College 28-14 on Saturday. The Foresters took the lead in the third quarter on an 86-yard touchdown pass from junior Peter Rantis to sophomore Alex Pasiewicz.

Lake Forest Defeated at Cornell
November 01, 2014The Forester football team suffered a 31-3 loss at Cornell College on Saturday. Senior nose tackle Ramel Samuel led the Lake Forest defense with a career-high 11 tackles on the day.

October 25, 2014The Lake Forest College football team suffered a 49-6 loss at Illinois College on Saturday. A 49-yard touchdown run by sophomore tailback Charlie Quinn accounted for the Foresters' only points of the game.

Foresters Fall to Monmouth Despite Winning Turnover Battle
October 18, 2014The Lake Forest College Football team was defeated 31-7 by visiting Monmouth College on Saturday. Forester senior linebacker John Preston had a game-high 12 tackles and an interception in the contest.

Foresters Start MWC South Play with 27-6 Victory at Knox
October 11, 2014Thanks in large part to 178 rushing yards and three touchdowns by sophomore tailback Charlie Quinn, the Lake Forest College football team prevailed 27-6 at Knox College on Saturday. It was the Midwest Conference South Division opener for both teams.

Foresters Suffer Heartbreaking Loss at Beloit
September 27, 2014The Lake Forest College football team dropped a 27-24 decision in overtime at Beloit College on Saturday. A 15-yard interception return for a touchdown by sophomore defensive lineman Brendan Power gave the Foresters a 24-14 advantage in the fourth quarter but they were unable to hold on to the lead.

September 25, 2014Lake Forest College Head Football Coach Jim Catanzaro will be among the honorees when the Lake County Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Inc. recognizes local businesses and community leaders during its 1st Annual Blue and White Ball on October 11 at the Milan Banquet Hall in Waukegan.

Carroll Spoils Foresters' Homecoming
September 20, 2014The Lake Forest College football team was defeated 28-7 by visiting Carroll University Saturday on Homecoming. The Forester defense allowed just 229 yards and forced four turnovers, including senior linebacker Jake Julius' first career interception.

Four to be Inducted into Forester Athletic Hall of Fame at Homecoming
September 15, 2014Lake Forest College Homecoming and Reunion Weekend is coming up September 18-20. Among the weekend's many events is the annual Athletic Recognition Ceremony, which will include the induction of Leigh Anne Furgerson Ihnken '04, Corey Honore '98, Brent Keeley '81, and Megan Mehilos Dorneker '04 into the Forester Athletic Hall of Fame.
