    After an historic year in athletic competition, Lake Forest College teams added yet another school record by earning the most Academic All-Midwest Conference awards in school history. The league announced the 2014-15 Academic All-MWC honorees on Tuesday.

    The sixth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars), which includes Forester seniors John Preston, Ramel Samuel, Joey Kropp, and Bryan Feltman and coach Jim Catanzaro, will be played on December 20 in Puebla, Mexico. A webcast of the game will be available at www.tvudlap.mx/.

    Lake Forest College senior football players John Preston, Ramel Samuel, Joey Kropp, and Bryan Feltman were recently selected to participate in the sixth annual Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) on December 20 in Puebla, Mexico. Forester Head Coach Jim Catanzaro will also be making the trip as a coach for Team Stars and Stripes.

    The Lake Forest College football team led 20-3 at halftime and held on for a 26-23 victory over visiting Ripon College in the season finale for both teams. Forester sophomore tailback Charlie Quinn rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on the day.

    The Lake Forest College football team hosted and defeated Grinnell College 28-14 on Saturday. The Foresters took the lead in the third quarter on an 86-yard touchdown pass from junior Peter Rantis to sophomore Alex Pasiewicz.

  • Foresters Suffer Heartbreaking Loss at Beloit
    September 27, 2014
    The Lake Forest College football team dropped a 27-24 decision in overtime at Beloit College on Saturday. A 15-yard interception return for a touchdown by sophomore defensive lineman Brendan Power gave the Foresters a 24-14 advantage in the fourth quarter but they were unable to hold on to the lead.

Among the weekend's many events is the annual Athletic Recognition Ceremony, which will include the induction of Leigh Anne Furgerson Ihnken '04, Corey Honore '98, Brent Keeley '81, and Megan Mehilos Dorneker '04 into the Forester Athletic Hall of Fame.
