After picking off a pair of passes at Carroll University last weekend, Lake Forest College junior defensive lineman Casey Flynn was named to D3football.com's National Team of the Week on Wednesday.
Flynn's interceptions ended a pair of second-half drives. The first occurred at the Forester 12-yardline on a pass that was deflected at the line of scrimmage. The second was near midfield on a pass that was broken up by a Lake Forest defensive back. Flynn returned the first two interceptions of his career a combined 28 yards.
In addition to the turnovers, Flynn also recorded four tackles in the game, including one behind the line of scrimmage. He ranks tied-for-second among the team's defensive linemen with 17 tackles on the season.
