Despite attempting 15 shots to the home team's five, the Lake Forest College women's soccer team was defeated 1-0 at Edgewood College Wednesday night.
The lone score of the contest came on a header off a corner kick at the 74:12 mark.
The Foresters put four shots on goal in the first half and three more in the second but were unable to score. Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Caroline Campbell made a pair of saves in her collegiate soccer debut.
The loss is the third in as many contests this season for the Foresters while Edgewood improved to 2-1.
Lake Forest will play its first home game of the year on Friday against Milwaukee School of Engineering. The contest will begin at 4:30 p.m.
