Lake Forest College women's soccer player Michelle Greeneway was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week for the sixth time in her career on Monday. Greeneway scored eight times during the Foresters' three victories last week.
Greeneway, a senior forward, started the week by scoring both of the team's goals in a 2-0 victory over visiting Marian University on Wednesday. She also became the first player in program history to reach 200 career points.
Lake Forest prevailed 4-2 at Grinnell College on Saturday and Greeneway netted two goals again, including the official game-winner. She also assisted on a score in the contest.
Greeneway finished off the week with her second career four-goal game in a 7-0 victory at Cornell College on Sunday. The first of the four was scored with 15 minutes to play before halftime and the last less than six minutes into the second half.
Greeneway leads the 2015 Foresters with 18 goals and 39 points and is easily the program's career leader with 92 in her career. The assist on Saturday was the 29th of her career, tying her for fifth in team annals.
MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Greeneway also earned the award once as a freshman and four times last year.
