The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 6-3 at Carroll University Saturday in the Foresters first match of the season. Junior John Adams earned one of the team's points with a three-set victory at #2 singles.
Carroll won all three of the doubles matches, although the score at #1 and #2 were 8-6.
The Foresters' three team points came from their top three singles players. Sophomore Ryan Kreis had the most convincing of the three victories, a 6-3, 6-0 decision at #1. Adams defeated the Pioneers' #2 player in a third-set super-tiebreaker and senior Elliot Muth edged out his opponent at #3.
The victory was Carroll's second in as many matches this season.
Lake Forest will play at St. Norbert College tomorrow morning at 10:30.
