The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2022-23 Division III All-Academic Teams and Scholar Athletes on Wednesday and the lists included the Forester men's team and five of its members.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale). Lake Forest also earned the award last year and in 2018 and 2013.
Individuals must record a grade point average of at least 3.5 for an entire academic year to earn ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. Forester sophomores Kyle Lassen and Daniel Tulchinskiy made the list for the second year in a row and were joined by freshmen George Ciuca, Ryan Lowe, and Ian Villardi Venturini Barbosa. The five selections match the team record set in 2020 and the program has now had 14 honorees in the last four years and 28 since 2012.
More than 1,000 Division III men were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 125 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
