The Forester men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at
Illinois College on Saturday (October 31) and is now 5-11-1 overall
this season and 2-5-1 in Midwest Conference play. The Blueboys
raised their overall record to 7-9-1 and league mark to 5-3-0.
Lake Forest was out-shot 6-2 in the first half and surrendered the
period's only goal at 38:31.
The Foresters had more opportunities in the second period,
out-shooting the home team 8-3 in the final 45 minutes, but was
unable to score. Illinois College doubled its lead at 51:50 and
held on for the victory.
Lake Forest's final game of the 2009 season will be played tomorrow
afternoon at 2:30 at Monmouth College.
