Junior Dante Esposito was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the Foresters' 42-10 win against Ripon College on Saturday. He was named Forester Athlete of the Week the week of September 21.
Esposito had two interceptions in the game, both ending drives for the Red Hawks in the second and fourth quarters; they were also his fifth and sixth picks of the season, respectively. This marks the defensive back's second two-interception game this year.
He led the team with five tackles and a pass break-up in the game as well.
Esposito is now tied for the national lead with 2.0 passes defended per game and six interceptions this season. Lake Forest has forced 19 turnovers this fall, which is tied for the fourth-highest total in the country.
The Forester Athletes of the Week are voted for by the athletic department every Tuesday.
