Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Teams Include Three Lake Forest PlayersMay 13, 2010The Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams were released Thursday (May 13) and three Foresters made the list. Senior third baseman Mallory Norton (Chicago, Ill./ Resurrection) was a Second Team All-Great Lakes Region selection while senior shortstop Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) and freshman pitcher Jordan Ratliff (Petersburg, Mich./Summerfield) earned Third Team honors.

The home team won the opener 8-0 in six innings and game two 18-1 in five frames. The Foresters are now 22-10-1 overall and 12-1 in league play this season. The Pioneers fell to 5-25 overall and 3-9 in the conference.

Jordan Ratliff Pitches Lake Forest's First Perfect Game in Sweep of KnoxApril 24, 2010The Forester softball team routed visiting Knox College 10-0 and 10-1 on Saturday (April 24). Both games lasted just five innings. Lake Forest is now 20-10-1 overall this season and 10-1 in Midwest Conference play. The victory in the opener clinched the Foresters' right to host the 2010 MWC Championship Tournament May 7-8. The Prairie Fire fell to 6-22 overall and 1-10 in the league.

The Fighting Scots fell to 10-18 overall and 6-5 in conference games.

On Sunday the Foresters routed Beloit College 10-2 in five innings before falling 5-1 to St. Norbert College.
