Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Teams Include Three Lake Forest Players
May 13, 2010The Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams were released Thursday (May 13) and three Foresters made the list. Senior third baseman Mallory Norton (Chicago, Ill./ Resurrection) was a Second Team All-Great Lakes Region selection while senior shortstop Tracy Rainey (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park) and freshman pitcher Jordan Ratliff (Petersburg, Mich./Summerfield) earned Third Team honors.

Four Foresters Named All-MWC South, Lake Forest Sweeps Division's Yearly Awards
May 11, 2010The 2010 All-Midwest Conference softball teams were released on Tuesday (May 11). Among the Foresters' four All-MWC South Division honorees were the division's Positional Player and Pitcher of the Year. In addition, Lake Forest's Joe Kinsella was named MWC South Coach of the Year.

Lake Forest Defeats Monmouth before Being Eliminated at MWC Tourney
May 09, 2010The Forester softball team had its 2010 season come to an end Sunday (May 9) at the Midwest Conference Championship Tournament. Lake Forest defeated Monmouth College 10-0 in five innings in an elimination game to start the day. The Foresters then fell 3-2 to St. Norbert College in the championship.

The Foresters defeated Ripon College 6-5 in their first game of the double-elimination event but fell 4-2 to St. Norbert College later in the day. Lake Forest, which is hosting the tournament, is now 23-13-1 on the season

Lake Forest's Winning Streak Ended by Nation's 16th-Ranked Team
April 27, 2010The Forester softball team had its eight-game winning streak snapped by North Central College, the nation's 16th-ranked team, Tuesday afternoon (April 27). The Cardinals won the opener of the doubleheader 6-1 and game two 9-4 to raise their record on the season to 28-8. Lake Forest fell to 22-12-1.

Foresters Sweep Grinnell to Finish 12-1 in Conference Play
April 25, 2010The Lake Forest College softball team closed out the Midwest Conference portion of its schedule with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Grinnell College on Sunday (April 25). The home team won the opener 8-0 in six innings and game two 18-1 in five frames. The Foresters are now 22-10-1 overall and 12-1 in league play this season. The Pioneers fell to 5-25 overall and 3-9 in the conference.

Jordan Ratliff Pitches Lake Forest's First Perfect Game in Sweep of Knox
April 24, 2010The Forester softball team routed visiting Knox College 10-0 and 10-1 on Saturday (April 24). Both games lasted just five innings. Lake Forest is now 20-10-1 overall this season and 10-1 in Midwest Conference play. The victory in the opener clinched the Foresters' right to host the 2010 MWC Championship Tournament May 7-8. The Prairie Fire fell to 6-22 overall and 1-10 in the league.

Foresters Sweep Doubleheader at Monmouth to Clinch Spot in MWC Tournament
April 18, 2010The Lake Forest College softball team won 6-3 and 10-2 (five innings) at Monmouth College on Sunday (April 18), raising its overall record on the season to 18-10-1. The Foresters are now 8-1 with 12 points in Midwest Conference play and has clinched one of the MWC South Division's two spots in the MWC Championship Tournament and is one league victory shy of clinching the right to host the event. The Fighting Scots fell to 10-18 overall and 6-5 in conference games.

April 17, 2010The Forester softball team swept a Midwest Conference doubleheader at Illinois College on Saturday (April 17), winning the opener 7-1 and game two 5-2. Lake Forest raised its overall record on the season to 16-10-1 and its league mark to 6-1. The Lady Blues fell to 5-20 overall and 0-9 in conference play.

April 14, 2010The Lake Forest College softball team was defeated 5-2 and 2-1 by Wheaton College at home on Wednesday (April 14) as the teams made up a doubleheader that was originally scheduled for March 20 but postponed due to weather. The Foresters fell to 14-10-1 on the season while the Thunder raised their record to 18-14.

Lake Forest Wins Four of Five Games at Midwest Conference Classic
April 11, 2010The Forester softball team began Midwest Conference play with four victories in five games at the MWC Classic in Janesville, Wisconsin, over the weekend (April 10-11). Lake Forest defeated Carroll University 18-4 in five innings, Lawrence University 4-2, and Ripon College 7-5 on Saturday. On Sunday the Foresters routed Beloit College 10-2 in five innings before falling 5-1 to St. Norbert College.

The Foresters won five of six games at the event and finished their Spring Break trip with a 7-3 record.
