The Lake Forest College men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 at the University of Texas-Tyler on Saturday in the first match of the Foresters' Spring Break trip. Freshman Ryan Kreis earned the visitors' only team point.
Kreis' victory came at the top spot in the singles lineup. He prevailed 6-4, 5-7, (10-7) for his fourth consecutive singles win.
Texas-Tyler raised its record on the season to 8-2 while Lake Forest fell to 3-2.
The Foresters will be back in action at Texas-Tyler tomorrow morning when they take on Millsaps College at 10:00.
