Heather Noll is entering her seventh season as the head women's volleyball coach at Lake Forest College in 2018, which will also be her 11th year as a collegiate head coach overall.
Lake Forest has posted a 32-26 record in Midwest Conference play during Noll's six years as head coach. Grace Larson was a Second Team All-MWC selection for the third year in a row in 2017, giving the Foresters 10 all-conference selections during Noll's tenure. In addition, the team has earned 30 Academic All-MWC honors, including four in 2017, in that span.
The Foresters led the league in opponent hitting percentage last season while ranking second in the conference in blocks per set. The team has ranked among the top teams in the MWC in those categories in each of the last three years and has also been the league's season leader in kills, assists, and digs per set with Noll as head coach.
Noll came to Lake Forest from Buena Vista University, where she was the head coach the previous four seasons. Buena Vista players earned six All-Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors and accounted for 21 IIAC All-Academic Team entries during her four years at the helm of the program. She was also an instructor in Buena Vista's School of Education & Exercise Science and served as the advisor of the Beavers' Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to her time at Buena Vista, Noll was a graduate assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for two seasons. The Warhawks were 71-12 during her time on staff, finished third in the country in 2006, and were the national runners-up in 2007. She also served as an assistant to Whitewater's strength and conditioning coach and as an ad-hoc instructor in the physical education department. Noll also has experience coaching at numerous volleyball camps and clinics and as the head men's club volleyball coach at UW-Whitewater.
Noll played collegiately for two years each at Indian Hills Community College and Coe College, which along with Lake Forest is a member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. She was a two-year IIAC All-Academic Team honoree at Coe and, as a senior, was the team's captain and Most Valuable Player.
In addition to her role as head volleyball coach, Noll serves as the advisor for Lake Forest College's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
