Both Forester Teams Finish Second at Midwest Conference ChampionshipsFebruary 14, 2010The Lake Forest College swimming & diving teams both placed second at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet at Lawrence University over the weekend (February 12-14). The Forester women finished with 768 points, 89 fewer than league champion Grinnell College and 368 ahead of third-place Carroll University. The men had 638.5 points, 300 fewer than Grinnell and nearly 200 more than Monmouth College.

Lake Forest Men and Women in Second with One Day Left at MWC ChampionshipsFebruary 13, 2010The Forester men's and women's swimming & diving teams are both in second place after Saturday's (February 13) competition at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet. Lake Forest (417 points) was third in the men's standings going into the day but surpassed Monmouth College (336) and now trail only Grinnell College (604). The women are also behind Grinnell, 598 points to 555.

The Forester women recorded a 169-71 victory over Carroll University, a 188-39 rout of Ripon College, and a 173-57 triumph over Lawrence. The men defeated Carroll 147-71, Ripon 157-47, and Lawrence 137-66.

Lake Forest More than Doubles its 2009 Point Total at Illinois-Michigan QuadJanuary 16, 2010The Forester women's swim team placed third and the men fourth at the Illinois-Michigan Quadrangular Saturday afternoon (January 16). The Lake Forest women's team's 347 points trailed host Wheaton College's 542 and Hope College's 482. Wheaton entered the meet ranked eighth in the nation and Hope 18th. The Forester men finished with 273 points, compared to 546 for Kalamazoo College, the nation's second-ranked team, 544 for #11 Hope, and 432 for #20 Wheaton. The 620 points for the Lake Forest teams combined was more than twice last year's total of 289.

Foresters Prevail at Monmouth in Second of Back-to-Back MeetsNovember 07, 2009The Lake Forest College swimming & diving team swept a dual meet at Monmouth College on Saturday (November 7), less than 24 hours after hosting Carthage College the night before. The Forester women won 112-69 and the men prevailed 103-61. Both Lake Forest teams raised their record on the season to 2-1 while Monmouth's women fell to 1-2 and the men to 2-1.

Lake Forest Swims Well but Falls to Carthage CollegeNovember 06, 2009The Forester swimming & diving teams were both defeated by visiting Carthage College Friday night (November 6). The score of the women's competition was 104-101 and the men's final tally was 126-78. Both Lake Forest teams are now 1-1 on the year in dual meets. The Lady Reds also evened their record at 1-1 while the Red Men raised their mark to 2-0.
