The Lake Forest College men's soccer team fell 2-1 at Beloit College on Tuesday. The Foresters are now 6-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in Midwest Conference play. Freshman Dylan Hartman scored the visitors' only goal of the game.
Hartman's sixth goal of the season was assisted by junior Steven Johnson and freshman Themis Mourikes and tied the score in the 22nd minute.
Beloit's first goal of the game at 13:18 ended Forester senior goalkeeper Ethan Guenther's season-opening scoreless streak at 425 minutes. The home team regained the lead at 31:09 and held on the rest of the way. Guenther finished the game with four saves.
The Buccaneers had a 6-4 advantage in shots in the first half and the Foresters outshot them 7-4 in the second. Lake Forest also had five corner kick opportunities in the game's final 45 minutes.
Beloit is now 6-2-0 overall and 2-1-0 in league play.
The Foresters will continue conference play Saturday afternoon when they host Ripon College at 3:30.
