Seven Foresters Compete at Milwaukee Classic

Seven Foresters Compete at Milwaukee Classic

Senior Quinn Jagodzinski was the Women's B Division champion to lead the Foresters at the Milwaukee Classic over the weekend.

Jagodzinski rattled off three consecutive victories after a bye in the bracket's round of 16. She had suffered a tiebreaker loss in the Open Round of 32.

Highlighting the action for the Forester men was junior Devin Peters, who was the runner-up in the A Division for the second year in a row. After three straight wins, Peters was finally edged out 6-21, 21-18, 11-3 in the final.

Senior Monica Redfern posted a victory before being eliminated in the Women's B Division and classmate Annabeth Gibbons won twice in the B Consolation bracket.

Lake Forest seniors Anthony Sullivan and Brandon Sanchez and freshman Collin Peters also competed at the event.

The Milwaukee Classic was the final competition of 2019 for the Foresters. The next event for half the team will be the Men's Invitational Singles on Saturday, January 11. Lake Forest will be the host with matches being played in the lower level of the Sports and Recreation Center.
