Kris Korth joined the Forester coaching staff after graduating from Lake Forest College in 2016.
The Lake Forest men were the runners-up at the 2017 Midwest Conference Championships while the women placed third in Korth's first year on staff. The Forester swimmers and divers combined to win nine individual events and four relays at the conference meet while establishing nine school records and three league marks. The teams combined for a 6-5-1 dual meet record on the year.
Korth is an eight-time Midwest Conference champion with the Foresters and helped lead the men's team to back-to-back league titles in 2014 and 2015. He won the 200-breaststroke in each of his final three conference meets and the 100-breaststroke as a sophomore and junior. He also contributed to three relay championships during his career. Korth set league records in both breaststroke events in 2014 and ranks second in school history in the 400-individual medley. He was also part of the fastest 800-freestyle and 400-medley relay teams in school history. Other accomplishments include three Forester Athlete of the Week honors and a MWC Performer of the Week award.
In addition to his accomplishments in the pool, Korth was a team captain in 2015-16 and the swimming and diving program's representative on the Lake Forest College All-Sportsmanship Team as a freshman. Successful in the classroom as well, he earned Academic All-MWC honors four times and was named to the Honorable Mention CSCAA Scholar All-America Team in 2015.
Korth, was a biology major and double-minor in chemistry and environmental studies. He currently works at Evoqua Water Technologies LLC as a demineralization services representative.
